Hitch Step 2inch Hitch Receiver Rear Bumper Guard Protector Upgraded Textured Black Step Bar with Hitch Lock & U-Bolts Stabilize

Looking at the logo in the step it seems to me a piece of steel should have been welded underneath to close the hole the logo made. The sharp edges are just right to catch things including fingers and hands. How about painting a piece of flat steel with silver paint and tack welding it to the bottom of the step. That way it closes the hole up so you don't catch anything on it and the silver paint will make the logo stand out better. How much trouble could that be? Thanks for the consideration. I will probably take mine to a local welding shop and do just that so I don't have a problem.

Very easy to install nothing to it..

Product was excellent, Was as described, directions were more than adequate. Exceeded my expectations in quality, The vehicle pictured here is a 4 runner, It fit perfectly, and tightly. You can see where I installed the antirattle mechanism. I’m not sure that this will be needed on my vehicle, but I installed it anyway. I would suggest this project got any hesitation, and I have no reservations about it.

I bought it with the intent of installing it on my front hitch of my JK Jeep for a little added protection. It was easy to install and looks great. The welds are nice and solid and the coating is thick and nice. There are 4 bolts that are used to bolt the step to the square tube and can be easily used to mount other accessories if desired. Another great product from Nilight.

Don't use the instructions that come in the box. Use the instructions from the video posted with the products. I ordered this one on Tuesday and it came on Thursday. I installed it per the instructions in the box. Doing it that way made the hitch rattled when I drove. I followed the video and it works perfectly. The only issue I have is when you step on it it has a little play in it. I torque it to 40 instead of the 25 and it still has play in it. I don't want to overtighten it so I will leave it at 40. I am sure it can hold up to 350 pounds. I would tell a friend and buy another one if need be.
